thirfted: what I wore

by kim on 1 May 2012

Most days I spend in jeans and a handmade silkscreened t-shirt. But somedays I need to spruce up my attire. I dig further in my closet and drawers to resurrect some clothes which are loved yet neglected.

Most of the time these special outfits are thrifted like the one above.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about the bow on this shirt and it spent some time in my sewing pile looking for a way to be altered. I gave it go and loved the look, especially with my hair up.

The boots are Dr. Marten’s that I’ve had for about six years. I wear them nearly all winter long. The socks are from Urban Outfitters, I can’t resist their sales when you need to stock up on socks and tights.

My amazingly talented friend and I swapped earrings. She surprised me with this pair as red reminded her of me. Aren’t they just the perfect match for my outfit?

Not only are these earrings gorgeous but they are made of recycled tin. Quite suitable for my thrifted get up.

happy tuesday!
