There are still four free jewelry polishing cloths left in my Etsy shop if anyone’s interested!
I’ve been overdosing on sci-fi lately while I make jewelry and candles. I’m currently watching Quantum Leap Season 5. This one jumped the shark big time, but I feel compelled to watch it all anyway.
Question of the Day: Any Farscape fans out there? It’s not strong on the sci-fi front, but it has some funny lines and interesting plots. The character development ain’t so great, but I enjoy watching Ben Browder act. 🙂 Stargate Season 9 is a better place to watch him act. More on Stargate at a later date.

I’m lucky – I have all of Farscape on my external drive. Sadly, most of my hard drive space is consumed by movies and tv shows.
23rd, but close 🙂 I’ll have to throw stargate on my netflix queue. I was miffed with the way they did Farscape at 10 disks a season (when the box set was half that in the stores), but I liked it.
Yeah, Scorpius became rather tedious, but I actually liked the episode about his parentage. Go figure.
Stargate is really good. It’s my brother’s favorite sci-fi series. I watched the movie eons ago with some of our old high school friends. The lead actor in the movie sucked big time (thankfully I can’t think of his name right now), but the movie is still worth watching. Richard Dean Anderson is _excellent_ in the series. Stargate was starting to get a little worn out, but in season 9 they introduced a new lead actor (Ben Browder) and a new invincible enemy. It’s gotten interesting again. 🙂 I recently watched the first season of Stargate-Atlantis too. I was pleasantly surprised, and I’m looking forward to watching season 2.
Oct. 21, am I right?
oops, I meant Farscape, not Stargate. Haven’t started stargate yet, is it good?
“Rygel, why do you have a picture of Crichton on your chest?”
I think it was more he became slightly unhinged mentally rather than fully adapted to his new situation. I mean, he named his pulse pistol Winona.
Crackers Don’t Matter was hilarious when he was all gussied up in his anti light outfit, paste, etc…
My biggest complaint overall in Farscape was Scorpius. He just dragged on and on. And on.
Woo hoo! I’m thrilled to have someone leave a sci-fi-related comment.
There were a lot of things in Farscape that I just didn’t find believable (beyond the normal sci-fi technobabble stuff…) For example, I had a hard time believing that Crichton would so easily adapt to his new situation after being flung through that wormhole. And of course, I have no clue why the others would let Rygel stay with them when he betrays them at every opportunity.
But I really enjoy watching Ben Browder act, especially in the body swap episode (Out of their Minds) – he was great as Rygel! I couldn’t stop laughing. I think Ben Browder was in his element in Crackers Don’t Matter. lol
Season 1 of stargate didn’t gel until about 3/4 of the way through, (when John quit whining quite so much about being a lost astronaut) but the end of season 1 and seasons 2-4 and the miniseries were much more satisfying.
