This is a single large, plump, dark blue sapphire stone on a sterling silver figure-8 chain. The sapphire is deep blue in color, and it measures approximately 13mm by 13mm (1/2 inch). The stone has striations through it, and splotches of dark color (black and dark red). The necklace is 18 inches (45cm) long, and it closes with a small sterling silver lobster clasp.
Sapphire is September's birthstone.
