These lightweight sterling silver earrings each have a single genuine blue iolite gemstone dangling from them. They have long sterling silver ear wires, around which I have wrapped tiny blue tanzanite stones with sterling silver wire. Each earring has six small faceted tanzanite stones. The earrings measure approximately 1 1/4 inches (32mm) in overall length.
Both iolite and tanzanite are strongly pleochroic gemstones, meaning that they appear different colors from different angles. From some angles, they look more violet, and from others, more blue.
