I made this ring using amethyst and sterling silver wire, which I wove in a herringbone weave. The amethyst is a dark purple color, almost black in appearance. This ring is a size 7 1/4. I oxidized and polished the sterling silver to give it an antiqued patina.
Amethyst is February's birthstone.
