Each of these earrings has three lavender colored faceted teardrop shaped amethyst gemstones, dangling from hand-formed sterling silver ear wires. These earrings measure approximately 1 3/4 inches (32mm) in length from the tops of the ear wires.
Amethyst is February's birthstone.
I offer titanium ear wires at no additional charge for my metal-sensitive customers. They are simple ear wires that are dark silver in color. If you'd like titanium, just let me know when you check out.
About sterling silver:
Sterling silver is an alloy consisting of a minimum of 92.5% silver (the other 7.5% is typically copper). I choose to use solid sterling instead of plated metal in my work because it is my experience that plating wears off. Properly cared for sterling silver lasts a lifetime.
