Merchants present everything from the very finest emerald, ruby, and sapphire, more unusual stones like alexandrite cat&#8217;s eyes, garnets that are not red, rarities like jeremejevite, and the exotics like whatisite and leaverite. We&#8217;re on our way tomorrow am, 7 hours across to desert, to explore, discover, and perhaps buy.
