In 2008, Tear Drop was created in beginning metals class at Long Beach City College with Michael Dale Bernard (MDB, woot-woot!). This class made me fell in love working with metals and jewelry, so I changed my major from criminal justice to B.F.A. in Metals & Jewelry. There I studied/created works under the provisions of Susanna Speirs, Michael Dale Bernard and April Kawaoka. The awesome trio whom I admire a lot, I owe them a lot for supporting me throughout the years. Thank you!

Money Lies piece was produced from beginning’s metal class in the summer of 2009. This money sandwiched brooch expresses abstract ideas of money, power, and injustice. The project was using found object: American currency.
This piece expresses the frustration of government corruption, unfair bureaucracy and stereotypes that September 11 has caused: a tragedy not only affected American victims but also non-Americans, immigrants, foreigners and the future Americans who has been living in the states for generations. This piece illustrates the difficulties that Americans/Immigrants are facing due to the misjudgment, stereotypes and the bias ideas that our society has caused by this event.
