Plenty of \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativemetalforming.com\/index.php\/book-description\" target=\"_blank\">Creative Metal Forming<\/a>\u201d&#8212;the title of the long-awaited collaboration between consummate metalsmiths <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cynthiaeid.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cynthia Eid<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/fluidformsinmetal.com\/artist.html\" target=\"_blank\">Betty Helen Longhi.<\/a><\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Creative Metal Forming Book\" alt=\"Creative Metal Forming Book\" src=\"http:\/\/www.metalwerx.com\/blog\/10-13-AllcraftAdCreativeMetalForming.jpg\" width=\"229\" height=\"315\" \/> <strong><em><\/em><\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>Available at Vendor Day, Oct. 20!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eager followers of the popular artists\/teachers will soon be able to crack open the book, available this month from Tim McCreight\u2019s Brynmorgen Press. An even luckier few will have the chance to get an autographed copy directly from Cindy&#8211;as she is known to her friends and students&#8211; at <a title=\"Metalwerx's Vendor Day\" href=\"http:\/\/www.metalwerx.com\/workshop\/230\" target=\"_blank\">Metalwerx\u2019 Vendor Day<\/a>, Oct. 20, 10 am to 4 pm at the Armenian Cultural Center, 47 Nichols street, Watertown, Mass.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cythia Eid Bio Shot\" alt=\"Cythia Eid Bio Shot\" src=\"http:\/\/www.metalwerx.com\/blog\/10-13-CMF-Cindy-Bio-with-anticlastic-.jpg\" width=\"218\" height=\"320\" \/> <strong><em><\/em><\/strong>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>Cynthia Eid<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cindy will present an illustrated talk at Vendor Day with video demonstrations from the book, so viewers can get ideas of what to do with the exercises. Cindy also will be at the Allcraft Jewelry supply booth, selling the book, the anticlastic stakes designed by the authors,\u00a0 the LH hammers, designed by\u00a0 Longhi,\u00a0 and the Ultimate Spiculum Hammer, designed by Eid and Longhi, manufactured by Fretz Tools, and sold exclusively through Allcraft.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been a nine-year journey since the two artists met in an elevator at a SNAG conference, when each spotted the other\u2019s nametag. The idea for the book was born soon after, but the road to publication was far more involved than for a typical how-to book. It\u2019s where things happen,\u201d Cindy said.
