{"id":41,"date":"2008-11-18T20:06:28","date_gmt":"2008-11-19T01:06:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pixieprincess.userblogs.ganoksin.coms\/?p=41"},"modified":"2008-11-18T20:06:28","modified_gmt":"2008-11-19T01:06:28","slug":"color-texture-and-form","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/pixieprincess\/2008\/11\/18\/color-texture-and-form\/","title":{"rendered":"Color, Texture, and Form"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"posttext\">I will be participating in the December <a title=\"First Friday Art Walk\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lanearts.org\/communityarts\/firstfriday\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #00e0ff\">First Friday Art Walk<\/span><\/a> with Tracey Bell and Renee Ford at Blue Moon Jewelry Designs.\u00a0 Our theme is Metal: Color, Texture, and Form.\u00a0 \u00a0For this event I am breaking away from the meticulous nature of\u00a0cloisonn\u00e9 enamel to explore in a\u00a0less restrained manner.\u00a0 I had planned on texture being the focus of the new pieces, but it turns out form and color are the dominating themes.\u00a0 Things like this happen when you turn into the planless wonder.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve reached a point on a few pieces where I need to make finishing decisions.\u00a0 I love the contrast of the white crystalized\u00a0silver around the torch fired enamel,- that&#8217;s right, I said torch fired- but I feel like\u00a0some of the other bits and pieces need&#8230; oxidation? sandblasting? polish?\u00a0I just don&#8217;t quite know!\u00a0 I&#8217;ll be trying some things and let you know what happens:)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been toying a bit with soldering on these pieces after enameling as well.
