I\u2019m not sure why I love it so much, but I seem to not be able to get enough of it. It\u2019s so simple to make and looks so elegant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/i1058.photobucket.com\/albums\/t408\/TahiraDesigns\/VikingKnit.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"477\" height=\"323\" \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I use 28 gauge fine silver wire, an old wooden spool (trick my friend showed me) and my awl. I know, how can something to beautiful come from such primitive tools, right. I\u2019ll do a more in depth how to if people are interested.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0To finish the piece you of course have to draw the knitting down, so I bought this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.riogrande.com\/Product\/Rosewood-Large-Hole-Woven-Wire-Drawplate\/112702?pos=7\">Rosewood Large Hole Woven Wire Drawplate<\/a> from Rio Grande.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/i1058.photobucket.com\/albums\/t408\/TahiraDesigns\/_DSC0103.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"481\" height=\"185\" \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I ended up having to drill extra holes in it to draw the knitting down far enough, so I wasn\u2019t too happy with it. I\u2019m not sure why you would need that large of holes for Woven Wire work, but maybe there\u2019s a technique out there that I don\u2019t know. All in all, it did what it needed to, but I just wasn\u2019t that thrilled with it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/i1058.photobucket.com\/albums\/t408\/TahiraDesigns\/_DSC0110.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"486\" height=\"208\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">They do have another drawplate that seems to have smaller holes, perhaps that\u2019s the one I should have bought, or better yet, just made one myself. Hindsight is 20\/20 as they say.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/i1058.photobucket.com\/albums\/t408\/TahiraDesigns\/ThumbsSideways.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"84\" height=\"73\" \/>Because of the need to drill more holes, I\u2019m pretty neutral about this drawplate. If they hadn\u2019t given the details about this plate, I\u2019d give it thumbs down, but it\u2019s not Rio\u2019s fault it didn\u2019t fit my needs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This reaffirms why I\u2019m doing these reviews.
