The luncheon is held to welcome incoming jewelry, watch, CAD\/CAM and Gemology students to the school and is always a great, informal way for them to mingle and meet one another.<\/p>\n<p>This semesters luncheon was a hit with great food prepared by faculty and students, awesome raffle prizes and fun giveaways. At the door, every student received one or more faceted gemstones, and had the option to grab mini screwdriver sets and\/or tweezers. Every student was also given a raffle ticket towards wonderful donated prizes. The grand prizes for the raffle this semester were a bench lamp, a jewelers book valued at $125, an ounce of fine silver, and a metal tool box. All of the prizes were donated by faculty, students or families of student and were a hit with everybody. This semester, two 1<sup>st<\/sup> semester jewelry student won grand prizes!!!<\/p>\n<p>The luncheon started at 11:30 and by the time it was over, everyone left with a smile, a full belly and something sparkly to do something creative with! After all, that\u2019s what we\u2019re here for.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to everyone who donated time, energy, prizes and money and for the faculty that came to support this fun activity.
