﻿{"id":169,"date":"2009-10-18T21:45:03","date_gmt":"2009-10-19T02:45:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cosmicfolklore.userblogs.ganoksin.coms\/?p=169"},"modified":"2009-10-18T21:45:03","modified_gmt":"2009-10-19T02:45:03","slug":"lost-in-space","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/cosmicfolklore\/2009\/10\/18\/lost-in-space\/","title":{"rendered":"Lost in Space"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\">This is a hinged, sectional neck piece with a hollow-formed center section built up from a spiral around a section of copper tube.\u00a0 The center piece depicts a space ship spiraling in to the empty negative space, maybe a black hole.\u00a0 And, within the spiral are patterns with an almost tribal look to them.\u00a0 Also, there is a ruby that is at the source, maybe a red planet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/cosmicfolklore\/files\/2009\/10\/lost-in-space.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-170\" src=\"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/cosmicfolklore\/files\/2009\/10\/lost-in-space-300x273.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"390\" height=\"354\" srcset=\"https:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/cosmicfolklore\/files\/2009\/10\/lost-in-space-300x273.jpg 300w, https:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/cosmicfolklore\/files\/2009\/10\/lost-in-space.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 390px) 100vw, 390px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Lost in Space;<\/strong> Sterling silver, copper, Norwegian Moonstone Jasper, lab ruby<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\nThe four cabs are set in bezels on each side.\u00a0 The stones are Norwegian moonstone, which is actually a type of jasper.\u00a0 Besides its cool cosmic name \u201cmoonstone,\u201d it has a Northern European country in its name, which brings to mind stories of Valhalla, gods and goddesses, and ancient stories.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve done a few other pieces, lately, using this Lost in Space theme.\u00a0 I like the idea of using negative space in a hollow formed piece, and I like the play on the spiraling space ship with it.\u00a0 Personally, I have never been lost, as far as not knowing where I was type of lost.\u00a0 I am usually of the mindset that I am right here;
