<\/a>Following the International Mineralogical Association\u2019s (IMA 2014) 21^{st<\/sup> general meeting in Gauteng, South Africa, GIA will offer a gemology workshop taught by some of the world\u2019s top researchers. On Saturday, Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon<\/span><\/span>, GIA researchers Dr. James Shigley, distinguished research fellow; Dr. Wuyi Wang, director of research and development; Karen Smit, <\/span><\/div>\n}
po<\/span>st-doctoral research associate; Christopher (Mike) Breeding, research scientist; and Dr. Ulrika d\u2019Haenens-Johansson, research scientist, will present \u201cGem Diamonds: Treatment, Synthetics and It’s Identification.\u201d Gemological updates on diamonds, ruby and sapphire will also be discussed. Guests may register for this session through the <\/span>IMA conference<\/span><\/a>.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/div>\n
