$\"$ <\/a> $\"\"$ <\/a>As part of this year\u2019s Annual General Meeting, the Metal Arts Guild of Canada hosted it\u2019s second annual Pin Swap.\u00a0 Intended as a \u201cget to know you\u201d\/game for the participants, it\u2019s a great opportunity to try out new ideas. Participants make anything they like and trade with each other.\u00a0 At the end of the evening, I was the proud owner of pins made by Mary McIntyre<\/a> (a copper bar pin, made with rare earth magnets), Alistair Crombie<\/a> (a Google map pin), Sarah Hamel<\/a> (a plastic conglomerate pin), Sara Cummins<\/a> (a pierced rectangular stick pin) and Robert Mitchell (a sterling silver swirl with pearl drop).<\/p>\n

Prior to the event, I was wracking my brain trying to come up with something, and finally thought, \u201cWell, it\u2019s Fall, so why not do leaves?\u201d\u00a0 So, that\u2019s what I did.\u00a0 It was great fun, and I\u2019d encourage anyone coming to next year\u2019s AGM to join in!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
