As a Diamond Setter for the past 53 years and previously written for Orchid for over 12 years, I have amassed a myriad of stone setting techniques. My other setting essays have assisted many students in community colleges across Canada and the U.S.A. During this time I have traveled to over 55 cities training and teaching this highly skilled art form. I try not to go lightly on “the do this and do that, without the why…and all important…HOW?”<\/p>\n
You, as a ‘blog reader’ will come across detailed techniques that are overlooked in some trade-schools, or even on the premises of workshops. Why? I feel they could be spending too much time dealing with the finer details, only the “overall picture” of diamond gem-stone setting. <\/p>\n
My essays will fill that gap in fully explaining each technique. My essays should be used “as a guide” while you are learning your new skills,…wherever you learn them.<\/p>\n
