So for those of you who are lucky enough to not be totally sucked into FaceBook and missed the activity that was going around I’ll fill you in. There was this activity where you had to list 25 things people might not know about you and share them with your friends. I’ve decided to do this on my blog by creating 25 posts, each devoted to 25 things that inspire me to create jewelry. So here is the first one:
1. Playing with FIRE !
Not only is it extremely important for soldering, forging and welding metal but you can also use fire to create bonfires, Glory Holes for glass blowing, fire eating, fire toys*, campfires, curling up in front fireplaces, fire walking, BBQing, lighting candles, make s’mores, the Burning Man Festival, making steam engines go, making cool Rube Goldberg type contraptions like in the the DVD, “The Way Things Go”, etc.
*The photo above is of me twirling poi for my young nephew at my brother’s house one summer. I particularly love playing wiht fire poi at the beach and hope to get to do alot more this summer.
Stay tuned in at www.heatherskwooodjewelry.blogspot for the rest of my list…

Thanx Richard, the world is full of inspiration both objects and people around us! Thanx for being here!
I love your list. I too am inspired by almost everything I see. After appreciating what I see, I look at it’s many parts and how they are made. From that I can make it in miniture in my jewelry.
You inspire me.
