Basic Jewelry Course at Metalwerx, Week 2

Ahhh, I love working with students who are picking up a jewelers saw for the 1st time. It brings me back to when I was first learning, breaking saw-blades left + right with my impatience to get things cut out. No, there isn’t a tiny band-saw to do this work you have to cut it out yourself.

Actually there were a lot less blades broken last night than I expected, everyone seemed to pick up sawing fairly naturally + had a great time as you can tell in the photos. Next week soldering I can’t wait to see these projects come together more, there are some good designs emerging from this group.
