I am an art educator, turned exclusively metalsmith and always jump at the chance to learn new skills, processes, & techniques.\u00a0 Life-long learning.\u00a0 But I can’t\u00a0really learn until I attempt\u00a0it hands-on and continue to experiment by DOING a process, skill, technique\u00a0over and over.\u00a0 Successes and failures teach.\u00a0. .the sum total of learning.\u00a0 And the sum total allows creativity to flow and flourish.\u00a0 The more skills, the more creativity.<\/p>\n
Truth be told, there are agonizingly boring tasks necessary in metalsmithing that can’t be imagined by the viewer, excluding the well-trained eye.\u00a0 They are basics that can confine me\u00a0or can ultimately let me go.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
To keep it all, I get to share with others; the learning, the skills, processes, and techniques and the final product which I want to share with you.<\/p>\n
