I made a variety of shapes that seemed like they would be useful for a lot of jewelery projects. They are made of mild steel but are lazer cut so the lazer carburizes the edge making it very hard and leaving it sharp. I have run about a 100 parts through one and had no problems. I was using 18 gauge brass and copper. I would imagine that silver would be easier on the die. The dies sell for 15 dollars each so if you need to make a few thousand parts then you can buy a few of the same die. I have sold them at the SNAG conference in Philly and sold about 400 of them and have had no complaints.
