I&#8217;ve been kind of obsessed lately. I want to learn rock climbing and ice climbing technqiues, and get out there bivouaking and making summit bids. I have visions of crampons and ice axes dancing through my head. If anyone reading this is into mountaineering or rock-climbing, please contact me. I have a ton of questions. I&#8217;d like to start with Mt. Whitney because is a respectable sized mountain, yet fairly accessible by the inexperienced. I haven&#8217;t climbed anything much over 12,000 feet to date. If I enjoy Whitney, on to the Cascades volcanoes&#8230; I&#8217;d love to climb Rainier! I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ll ever be making a bid on K2, but these lesser mountains would make me happy.<\/p>\n<p>Question of the Day: Do you think people who climb mountains like K2 and Everest are nuts?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I really want to get into mountaineering.
