About the materials in this ring:
Sterling silver is an alloy made of at least 92.5% silver. The other 7.5% is usually copper. I choose to use sterling silver instead of plated metal because it is my experience that plating rubs off over time. Solid sterling silver, with a little care, can last a lifetime.<\/p>\n

Fine silver consists of at least 99.9% silver, so it is in essence pure silver. It is more resistant to tarnish than sterling silver, but it is also a softer metal, so it isn't an ideal choice for pieces that will be subject to wear and tear.<\/p>\n
