They are also incredibly lightweight. They consist of small lampwork glass beads on long handmade sterling silver ear wires. The glass beads are coin-shaped, and they&#039;re black with a single pink flower on either side. The beads measure approximately 14mm across. The earrings measure about 1 3\/8 inches (35mm) in length from the tops of the ear wires.<\/p>\n<p>About sterling silver:<br \/>Sterling silver is an alloy consisting of a minimum of 92.5% silver (the other 7.5% is typically copper). I choose to use solid sterling instead of plated metal in my work because it is my experience that plating wears off.
