These earrings measure just a bit over 1 3\/4 inches (45mm) in length from the tops of the ear wires.<\/p>\n<p>Jade is one of my all-time favorite stones. Nephrite is one of the two types of &quot;true jade&quot; (the other is jadeite). Nephrite is also known as BC jade or Canadian jade.<\/p>\n<p>About sterling silver:<br \/>Sterling silver is an alloy consisting of a minimum of 92.5% silver (the other 7.5% is typically copper). I choose to use solid sterling instead of plated metal in my work because it is my experience that plating wears off.
