And do it again, and again. Very often, in class, students make pieces that are carefully designed and crafted \u2013 even to give as gifts. When it comes to soldering the pressure is on to make it work out RIGHT\u2026 who wants it not to work out when you\u2019ve got so much invested. \u00a0The piece has become precious. The purpose of this class is to remove that precious feeling, and the pressure. Precious Pressure &#8211; who needs it! Some students may do all of the projects, and some students may do a few, or just one or two. The purpose is to repeat a project until you feel \u2018comfortable\u2019, and then move on. There\u2019s nothing wrong with repeating a single project all day.\u00a0 What a great way to thoroughly understand a component of soldering.\u00a0 Consider repeating the class &#8211; it will run every other month.\u00a0 In addition, you\u2019ll learn by hearing what\u2019s happening with other students.\u00a0 Experiment and play!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;color: #ff0000\"><strong>Class Projects &#8211; A Sneak-Peak<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sticks in a Row<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How many sticks can you solder without using any flow inhibitor, and using the same solder type?<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_84\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 300px\">\n\t<a href=\"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/littletonstudioschool\/files\/2012\/02\/sticks2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-84 \" src=\"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/littletonstudioschool\/files\/2012\/02\/sticks2-300x216.jpg\" alt=\"Sticks\" width=\"300\" height=\"216\" srcset=\"https:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/littletonstudioschool\/files\/2012\/02\/sticks2-300x216.jpg 300w, https:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/littletonstudioschool\/files\/2012\/02\/sticks2.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>\n\t<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Well, That&#039;s a Sticky Wicket<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>It isn\u2019t easy, but practice helps. Do it over and over and you&#8217;ll learn how to direct the flame. Get the current solder location up to temp, but not the last one &#8211; it is challenging since copper is such a good conductor!<\/p>\n<p><strong>3d Shapes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Want to make bezels and set stones? This project mimics bezel soldering. If everything goes right then ZOWey, that solder does a race around that seam.
