{"id":388,"date":"2011-06-27T01:27:02","date_gmt":"2011-06-27T05:27:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/rasmussengems\/?p=388"},"modified":"2011-06-27T01:27:02","modified_gmt":"2011-06-27T05:27:02","slug":"peridot-ring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/rasmussengems\/2011\/06\/27\/peridot-ring\/","title":{"rendered":"Peridot Ring"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #274e13\"><span style=\"font-size: large\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\">Have been working for a couple weeks on a ring using a large 10 mm round brilliant cut eye clean Peridot stone.&nbsp; I saw a ring with a stone set between two shanks, so I tried to produce a ring with a similar shape.&nbsp; First I fashioned a bezel setting for the stone, with a 22 gauge square wire as the shelf to set the stone on.&nbsp; Then fashioned the shank with a 10 mm wide opening to set the bezel into.&nbsp; After soldering, pickling and polishing, I set in the stone, then burnished and polished the ring again.&nbsp; The result was a very unique and beautiful ring.<\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/s44.photobucket.com\/albums\/f8\/Gemlover7476\/?action=view&amp;current=P.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img src=\"http:\/\/i44.photobucket.com\/albums\/f8\/Gemlover7476\/th_P.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Ring,Peridot,Silver,Bezel,Faceted,Handmade,Artisan,Unique\"><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/s44.photobucket.com\/albums\/f8\/Gemlover7476\/?action=view&amp;current=P3.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img src=\"http:\/\/i44.photobucket.com\/albums\/f8\/Gemlover7476\/th_P3.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Ring,Peridot,Silver,Bezel,Faceted,Handmade,Artisan,Unique\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #274e13\"><span style=\"font-size: large\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\">Now I am making my dear wife a similar ring with a citrine stone.&nbsp; Click on the thumbnails to see a larger image.
