﻿{"id":400,"date":"2011-08-08T01:12:38","date_gmt":"2011-08-08T05:12:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/rasmussengems\/?p=400"},"modified":"2011-08-08T01:13:18","modified_gmt":"2011-08-08T05:13:18","slug":"400","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/rasmussengems\/2011\/08\/08\/400\/","title":{"rendered":"Advancing My Art"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,sans-serif\">The shop continues, Debora is doing the bead work, she keeps very busy and her work is fantastic.&nbsp; She labors over each bracelet, anklet, pair of earrings and necklace.&nbsp; She has great ability to create and design this work.&nbsp; She loves creating pieces that have a great combination of colors.&nbsp; While she continues her work, I have been able to concentrate on my lapidary and metalsmithing pursuits.&nbsp; Over the years, I have acquired multiple sets of split rings, so I did a little chain work, and copper smithing to make a necklace that is at least not only beautiful, but unique.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/s44.photobucket.com\/albums\/f8\/Gemlover7476\/?action=view&amp;current=DF.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img alt=\"JAR August\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/i44.photobucket.com\/albums\/f8\/Gemlover7476\/th_DF.jpg\" \/><\/a>  <a href=\"http:\/\/s44.photobucket.com\/albums\/f8\/Gemlover7476\/?action=view&amp;current=Bracelet.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img alt=\"Geology Bracelet\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/i44.photobucket.com\/albums\/f8\/Gemlover7476\/th_Bracelet.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the necklace, I have been able to complete a commissioned piece for a geologist.&nbsp; He wanted a bracelet (17 cm in length) made with Sterling Silver, that shows a cross bedded fluvial environment.&nbsp; This is the background for the bracelet.
