Starting with the original form of silver smithing &#8212; wire wrapping, I made a pendant with a cobalt colored druzy agate in the center of the wire frame.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Cobalt Druzy Pendant by Rasmussen Gems and Jewelry LLC, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/rasmussen_gems_and_jewelry_llc\/6193691047\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6174\/6193691047_8f4b039f2a.jpg\" alt=\"Cobalt Druzy Pendant\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nIn another working idea, I took some 20 gauge square half hard copper wire and wound it on a 3 mm mandrel to make jump rings.\u00a0 These were cut from the mandrel with a jeweler&#8217;s saw, then put together to make the chain for this necklace.\u00a0 A dichroic glass pendant that accents the copper color in the chain hangs along the necklace.<br \/>\n<a title=\"Copper Chain Necklace by Rasmussen Gems and Jewelry LLC, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/rasmussen_gems_and_jewelry_llc\/6193691043\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6155\/6193691043_4680399a2c.jpg\" alt=\"Copper Chain Necklace\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nPlease excuse the quality of my photographs.\u00a0 I enjoyed making these pieces, and am continuing in my creation of custom work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Autumnal Equinox has just occurred and the fall season has officially begun.\u00a0 With the advent of this season my creative muse has taken on a new vigor.
