Reconstituted Turquoise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My husband sent me this article on CNN (<a href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2009\/10\/15\/pf\/consumer_gold_cash\/index.htm?postversion=2009101510?cnn=yes\">http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2009\/10\/15\/pf\/consumer_gold_cash\/index.htm?postversion=2009101510?cnn=yes<\/a>) that tries to warn the general populace to be careful when selling off gold to all the buyers who&#8217;ve sprung up over the last year.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve heard of &#8220;Gold Parties&#8221; in my area, where friends of mine are selling off their gold over drinks and\u00a0hors d&#8217;oeuvres to someone who supposedly knows the industry.\u00a0 The moment I heard that, I went sick in the stomach, worrying that my lovely stay-at-home-mom friends were getting ripped off.\u00a0 On the other hand, I\u00a0will admit that a small part of me\u00a0almost feels like I&#8217;m missing the boat by not snatching up the chance to get in on the profit.\u00a0 But, it feels <em>wrong<\/em> to take advantage of this poor economy by offering up pennies on the dollar to folks who need to supplement their cashflow to pay for schoolbooks, diapers, or even <em>groceries<\/em>.\u00a0 Kudos to those who are offering up a fair price though.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, time in the studio is still slim, (I&#8217;m a stay-at-home mom myself, but my youngest only has school two mornings a week), but I do have four pieces in various stages of progress at the moment.\u00a0 I&#8217;m trying my hand at cabbing some reconstituted turquoise I picked up a few months back, and the stuff looks so vivid I keep wanting to eat it&#8230;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_8\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/raynstones\/files\/2009\/10\/img_4979sm.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-8\" src=\"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/raynstones\/files\/2009\/10\/img_4979sm-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Reconstituted Turquoise in progress.\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-8\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Reconstituted Turquoise in progress.<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u00a0Yummmm!\u00a0 It&#8217;s going to be hard not to just paint an &#8220;m&#8221;
