The first exhibition took place at an elementary school in town and was open to the general public. It was an immediate hit, which is what prompted the organizers to make it a regular event. In 1956, the show was held at rodeo grounds. It stayed here until 1972. It eventually made its way to its current location where countless people can come out and enjoy it each year.<\/p>\n

The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show 2017 is well-known for bringing in gems, fossil displays and minerals from major museums everywhere.
