myself featuring\u00a0mum&#8217;s letters, detailed in the Disobedient Daughter post.\u00a0 She&#8217;d be pleased to\u00a0know she won\u00a0the race to be the inspiration for the first completed jewellery out of my Laundry.\u00a0 Anybody who knew her will remember how much she liked to win!\u00a0 So here&#8217;s what I made:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/suzannecronin\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-05-07_3331_edited-2-Copy.jpg\"><\/a>The individual beads\u00a0were wrapped in 2 different gauges of silver wire which gave them a substantial feel, a heaviness that gives weight to the paper wrapped inside.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/suzannecronin\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-05-07_3331_edited-2-Copy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-306 alignright\" href=\"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/suzannecronin\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-05-07_3400_edited-2.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div>I assembled the <em>letters<\/em> with an inch of silver belcher chain between them so as not to overpower\u00a0each one.<a href=\"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/suzannecronin\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-05-07_3400_edited-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-268 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/suzannecronin\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-05-07_3400_edited-2-314x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"151\" height=\"491\" srcset=\"https:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/suzannecronin\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-05-07_3400_edited-2-314x1024.jpg 314w, https:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/suzannecronin\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-05-07_3400_edited-2-92x300.jpg 92w, https:\/\/userblogs.ganoksin.com\/suzannecronin\/files\/2011\/05\/2011-05-07_3400_edited-2.jpg 580w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 151px) 100vw, 151px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div>The chain was finished either side with silver belcher that wrapped around my neck and tied at the front, looking like two chains.\u00a0 When I first wore it I realised the end beads needed more weight to hang correctly.\u00a0So I disassembled\u00a0the ends\u00a0and turned them into earrings.\u00a0 Luckily I had some of mum&#8217;s letter beads left over so I constructed heavier weights for either end of the piece.<\/div>\n<div>I love wearing this and can&#8217;t keep my hands off, I guess it feels like I&#8217;m touching mum in some way and vice
