It is with the deepest sadness that I write of the death of Ed Swoboda.  <\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
If you never got a chance to meet Ed, you missed a warm loving father and grandfather, a generous man, a humble soul, <\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
and a respected Giant in the Gem & Mineral World.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n

My father, Edward Swoboda, passed away peacefully last night surrounded by family and love. He was my inspiration for all the important things I ever accomplished in my life and will be so dearly and truly missed.<\/span>
I<\/span> am so truly grateful that I was able to spend so much time with him and that he was able to know my wife and children.<\/p>\n

I know that he will forever watch over me and I say, Dad, rest in peace. You deserve it. I will love you forever.<\/p>\n
