Casting my name

by francescavitali on April 25, 2008

Yesterday I had my first casting experience, and I started with a ring: “MY NAME IS” ring.
These are few sketched ideas

The wax model was sprunged it and invested

The ring was casted and here is how it looked once the silver was quenched

The sawed out ring is ready for the cleaning process

But I couldn’t resist trying it on!

Indeed self-protection is just one more use of this ring;)

Beautiful! I wouldn’t want to get punched in the face with that though.

Awesome work. I designed my wedding rings on paper & was amazed to watch them do all the casting. It’s such an involved process.-pamhttp://totusmel.blogspot.com

Are you addicted to metal now? I love your paper jewelry and your metal ring is equally impressive!
