Profile of Lina Pearson
I am a playful sort, often pleasantly distracted by natural movement. Be it formal dance or kittens wrestling, I am inspired and motivated to create. I also love the movement of light in all things shiny. Beads. My 10 yearlong enthrallment with beads is a testimony of how good these diminutive treasures feel in the hand. I have explored pattern stringing, Russian beadweaving, South Western beadweaving, three dimensional forms and wirework. Currently I enjoy piercing and hammering on metals in addition to practicing chainmaille technique.
Teaching:
In the past I have engaged in demonstrations /round table discussions on organic gardening, native plants and a children’s fairy garden class. I’ve also taught specific skills like Ukrainian egg decorating and dream catcher making.
