Well, some great things have been happening. Thanks to an email “blast” from Cindy Edelstein the World Gold Council has chosen 4 of my pieces to be used in their promotional campaign this year. Two pieces have been chosen to be in their booth at the JCK show in Las Vegas next month. Sign up to be on Cindy’s list (Jeweler’s Resource Bureau) to get promotional opportunities.
The other news is that I have been chosen as runner-up in the American Jewelry Design Council’s New Talent Competition. Leila Tai, an amazing enamelist was chosen as the winner. I will be showing my “Daisy” collection in the New Designer Gallery at the JA show in New York in July. It will be my first showing at the JA show. Members of the AJDC have been incredibly helpful and supportive. This competition is open to anyone who has not exhibited at the JA show. If you are unfamiliar with the AJDC they are a group of very talented jewelers/metalsmiths such as Alan Revere, Sarah Graham, Kent Raible, and Todd Reed (just to name a few!) who promote the work of American Jewelers. Go to the AJDC website to check out this opportunity for 2010! That’s it for now.
