Beginners Tutorial / Make Your Own Jewelry Cast / Recession Jewelry

by CGM Findings on August 21, 2012

This wonderful tutorial will give you brief knowledge on how YOU can design and make your own jewelry cast. Once you make your own design, you can take it to a jeweler to have your old jewelry cast and melted down to a new jewelry piece.
You can learn, you can design something on your very one, you can make the actual design yourself, you can finish the actual jewelry piece yourself, and you can end up with a new stylish piece of jewelry that is completely yours that you’ll Love!
No shopping from site to site for the “perfect” piece. Make “exactly” what you want and get some help making it.
It’s a beautiful idea that some people never consider and a great way to get started learning how to “create” your own pieces.

This tutorial just gives you an overview example of what is possible when you work with others to create your own jewelry. It’s a great learning process and their are tons of fine metalsmiths and jewelry makers who can help you.

For those of you who already have experience casting and are advanced this tutorial is not for you but we hope to post a few that are later on. But those exploring stretching their limits on creating jewelry designs, this is a great little fun overview.

We love the final jewelry necklace here and enjoy the tutorial.

Thank you Grace Bonney and the people at Design Sponge.
