Today was near 100 degrees, and it wasn’t much fun at all. I added a bunch of new jewelry to the Lava Jewelry web site, just before the server went down for several hours.
Question of the Day: How many obligatory sci-fi plot lines can you list?
I’ll start:
1. Body swap episode
2. Stuck in video game episode

Someone sleeps with an alien woman and gets a bizarre uncurable disease.
Hrm, my turn, huh?
Did I already say “alien plant grows wildly out of control”?
Main characters are locked away together. They end up discussing how their past has affected thiir current interpersonal relationships.
Insane person/people threaten the status quo.
A character/s is/are undergoing some physical change or metamorphosis.
The episode that tries to use as many clips from previous episodes as possible.
The episode where an old lover comes back and causes waves.
The flying cave episode. (Not really though)
Stuck in a time loop.
Incurable alien disease, with no known cause.
Stuck near the event horizon of a black hole.
Trying to discover/create a stable wormhole.
Someone is out-of-phase.
We messed up the future/past, so we have to fix it.
Someone came to our time from the future/past.
Oh no! Main character dead! Wait, nevermind.
Alternate universe people!
Those are both in just about every sci-fi series ever. Almost every series has a body swap episode (including Red Dwarf, Star Trek, SG-1, Farscape…) Almost every series has a stuck-in-video-game episode (see above list).
3. Alien plant grows out of control (or Tribbles make trouble)
More please?
Those are both from SG1 right?
I an think of none right now. I really don’t pay attension to the names.
