Each of these earrings has a single round blue lace agate stone (8mm), accented by sterling silver beads and a beadcap, dangling from hand-formed hoop-shaped sterling silver ear wires. These earrings measure just shy of 1 1/2 inches (37mm) in length from the tops of the ear wires.
Blue lace agate always reminds me of icy blue glaciers, with bands of light blue and white, and transparent clear ares with glistening crystals inside.
About sterling silver:
Sterling silver is an alloy consisting of a minimum of 92.5% silver (the other 7.5% is typically copper). I choose to use solid sterling instead of plated metal in my work because it is my experience that plating wears off. Properly cared for sterling silver lasts a lifetime and beyond.
