Hello, I am new to the blog and also how it works. I have been designing and making black coral jewelry for over 30-years. Would like to hear from other folks that might have the same interests. Hi Christian:
I am not very literate with these blog type action—-please forgive. I tried to email you but I’m not sure if this will get to you. I would be interested in doing some custom work for you. Please email me at: vcrison@msn.com

Hi Don!
Nice to hear from you again. It’s been a long time since we last communicated. Sure sounds like you have been keeping very busy. I have been doctoring for quite some time but finally am back to my jewelry work. Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing. all the best , vince crison

Vince…I sent you one comment several weeks ago but it must not have gotten through. I am now blogging as well and you might have seen some of my bl ogs….’Solving Problems in the Classroom”.
I too work with black coral and have had several articles published in the old Lapidary Journal. One is August 2000 and three others following in Sept through Dec 2000. I work with the shallow water Gorgonian variety though I have done some things with Antipatharian as well. I hope to have some pics up in the next couple of weeks at site:
‘wwwmmagicalsilverjewelry.com’. Been working with it for about 20 years now and love it though I don’t really spend as much time as I would like on it. I teach at the Boca Raton Museum of Art School in Boca Raton, FL where I have classes in fabrication and gemcutting. I also give a number of workshops throughout the year including one on Florida Black Coral. Check out http://www.bocamuseum.org.
Nice to see another coralnut out there. Cheers, Don.
Hi Vince,
There is a fantastic guy in Grand Cayman, that I’m sure you’d enjoy talking with. His name is Doctor Carey and he owns the Black Coral Clinic. Here is his phone 345/949-9569. My husband & I visit him every time we visit Cayman, and have bought some of his jewelry. I’m sure if you google him, he’ll appear.
Cheers,
Mariel
