A Halloween Design !

by dearmond on October 29, 2008

A good day in life is when you enjoy your work. This little design was fun to do and everyone in the shop was anxious to see it come off the mill. Here we stand, (all adults) acting like it was truly time for that “Treat” in this trick or treat season. We got it too!!

We decided to make this skull smile during the design stage. By the time the model was a reality… he had a name… “Smilin Jack”!  We are all truly    children at heart! .  Its nice to “Play” a little now and then.

I personally thought the back came out as interesting as the front.  The model is still in the block we cut it from as you can see.  Thats the joy of CNC… in just over an hour o’le Jack went from thought to reality. You can see other waxes and models on our site at http://www.classwax.com     Jack can be purchased if you are interested. Just drop us a comment or call us… (806) 381-8898.

Happy Halloween!!    Thanks for blogging along with us!

An Old Rugged Cross

by dearmond on October 23, 2008

This cross looks hundreds of years old and is filled with character. Designing and weathering this was a relaxing task. The weatherd look goes all around the top surface and sides. I haven’t decided how to do the back as yet.

The image really doesn’t do this piece justice. If you want to see a larger image, just leave us a comment or drop us an e-mail.  We will be happy to e-mail you a larger view.

Hand Hewn Cross ImageHundreds of places exist to tuck a few stones in for extra enhancement. Notice the cross has the nails holding it together. Seen here in a gold color, this will show well in silver with some small colored stones as well.

This design is available if you are interested. We will sell the file, a master wax or a finished piece. This piece currently exists only as a file, we haven’t cut it at this time… If you want to add this one to your collection, pricing and details are on our site… http://www.classwax.com    The cross is 40 MM tall & 30MM wide. What a Christmas piece! We need a couple of days lead time if you want it as a wax.

We can easily modify this for the buyer if needed.

If we cut this one, I’ll try to add images of the wax.

Thanks for looking and come back to blog along with us!!!

Simple But Strong Design

October 22, 2008

Today was spent designing and cutting waxes as normal. This nice coin holder for a $2.5 dollar Gold Piece was easy but will make a real statement for the owner when finished.   In 18K Yellow Gold with 17  3mm Green Tourmaline around the coin, this should be an eye catcher.  It will take about […]
