My daughter Marjory, is now making and selling a new collection of Mermaid Bracelets in her store, InArtStudio2. She calls her new collection “The World of Mermaids Collection”. There are 6 different designs in this mermaid bracelet collection. Each mermaid is from a different geographic location. And, what makes this collection so much fun, is that each mermaid comes with her own story. Such cute and fanciful mermaid stories, some funny, some sad, but each story is entertaining. There is the Arctic Ocean mermaid and her adopted baby Orca Whale. The Maui Island mermaid who loves to tease the tourists. The Galapagos Island mermaid and Darwin. My daughter Marjory, is now making and selling all my Mermaid Earrings in her store, InArtStudio2.
Due to demand, I have asked my daughter to take over creating and selling all my earrings. With her energy and sparkling personality, Marjory is a natural at selling. She started selling during her high school years, gathering unwanted items and hosting yard sales at our house. Next, came her Ebay store experience. During this time, Marjory learned photography, and how to create listings. She also learned shipping and understands the importance of customer service. Now, Marjory has her own Etsy store and is busy making and promoting all kinds of lovely mermaid items.

My 3 Black Dragons Necklace is a dragon jewelry fantasy. Inspired by my youngest daughter, who is a Game of Thrones fan. “Three dragons, you need to design a dragon necklace with Daenerys three dragons” she said. This got me thinking of how to design a dragon necklace with three dragons. Two dragons would be fairly simple. Two dragons would be a balanced design, one on each side, with something pretty between them. But, three dragons would require a design that would be more of a challenge to balance. I got out some paper and started sketching design ideas. I photographed these sketches and emailed them to my daughter to get her input. Three dragons in a row, head to tail, looked OK, but, just OK. The dragons would look better facing each other. The dragons needed something between them, something shiny, proportional in size and something eye catching. I tried a huge Swarovski pearl, but that looked boring. I tried a huge Swarovski Rhinestone, but it did not have the effect I was looking for. The rhinestone sparkled, but looked too flat. It did not have enough presence to compete with the dragons. Then I tried a 20mm leaded glass crystal ball. Wow! That looked fabulous! After much discussion, and a bit of design tweaking, I got her approval for my new three dragon necklace design.
Three fierce little dragons circle around a big glass crystal. Just looking into their fiery red Swarovski Crystal rhinestone eyes, tells you, that you need to keep them subdued. This fantasy dragon necklace measures 1-1/8 inches wide. The dragon in the center hangs 4 inches down. The necklace ends with a lobster claw clasp and an extra 4 inches of extender chain. This Mermaid bride head piece combines a creamy white pearl mermaid and freshwater pearls. The Mermaid, her dolphin, corals and seahorse friends are 3-dimensional and highly detailed, down to tiny scales on both the mermaid’s tail and the fish bodies. I sculpted and cast two little seahorses in white pearl resin, and added them on each side. Next, I added Swarovski crystal rhinestones for eyes and a sprinkling of glowing freshwater pearls. A few Months ago, my oldest daughter suggested I make mermaid tiaras. This got me thinking of how to design a mermaid that would wrap around the head. After days of researching tiaras and head pieces, I developed my mermaid tiara design. I started with a study metal headband, wrapping it in satin ribbon, and then hand stitched a row of French gimp to the back. This French gimp gives you lots of tiny loops for hair pins. The head band ends are smoothly finished to match. This mermaid tiara is light weight as just 2.5 ounces or 71 grams. This bride head piece measures 5-1/2 inches from side to side, 5-3/4 inches front to back and sits 3-1/2 inches tall. On the back, is my logo tag, for Night Sky Jewelry.
