Good News!

It’s been awhile since since my last post.  I have taught 2 workshops in the last two months at two places!  I taught “Loop-in-Loop Chains” at The Craft Guild of Dallas and “Surface Embellishments” at The Creative Art Center in Dallas.  It was fun and interesting to teach again after a 4 year hiatus from teaching.  Both places are wonderful organizations for artists and craftspeople.

I am a finalist again for the Niche Award in two categories: gold with stones and silver with stones.  The pieces are the “Three Finger Daisy Ring” which combines oxidized silver with 22kt gold granulated “daisy” leaves and 0.61tcw of grape spinels, and the “Dot Quartz Ring” which utilizes the optical qualities of a faceted, square 44ct. rutilated quartz with 22kt gold granulation under the stone.  It also combines gold granulation with oxidized silver.  All of the finalists will be listed on the Niche website next month. The winners will be announced at The Buyer’s Market of American Craft in mid-February, 2010.

That’s about all for now.  I hope everyone has a healthy and happy holiday season and a wonderful 2010!
