Private Stone Sale July 5 with Gustave Herbert of Trinity Imports LLC

by Metalwerx on July 1, 2013

Maybe you know him from class, or from Vendor Day, or from his once a year private stone sale at Metalwerx. Gustave Herbert is a familiar member of our community.

As owner of Trinity Imports LLC, Gustave travels the world to purchase fine gems that often end up in Metalwerx artists’ jewelry. On Friday July 5, Gustave will sell a selection of his gemstones in a wide range of price points.

The newest arrivals to his collection include bead strings and cabochons of rainbow labradorite from India, Sri Lanka, and Madagascar. Also available will be faceted Andalusite from Brazil and Sri Lanka.

It gets better. He’ll also have on hand matching sets of pink and blue sapphires, rutile quartz cabochons, Mozambique garnets, breathtaking opals, emeralds, diaspore, spinel, chrome diopside, peridot, jade, and many exotic varieties.  Many of these stones are available in all kinds of shapes such as cushion, emerald, pear, marquise, and princess styles.

Although he concentrates on faceted, calibrated gemstones, Gustave also carries cabochons, briolettes and carvings, particularly in the moonstone, garnet, and quartz varieties. Other stones in his inventory include zircon, topaz, kunzite, turquoise, amber, and more.

Gustave is certified as a gemologist by the Gemological Institute of America. He’ll try to answer any questions you may have about his collection. And from past experience, if he doesn’t have it, we know he will go out of his way to find that special stone you’re looking for.

He is as generous with his knowledge as he is with his success. As a  youngster, Gustave practiced acts of charity by volunteering for various philanthropic organizations. Each month he donates a portion of his profits to a humanitarian group. During the month of July, Gustave will donate ten percent of all sales to UNICEF. Gustave also welcomes suggestions if there is an organization you believe can benefit from his work. Visit his website to learn more about this.

The stone sale will be held at Metalwerx Friday, July 5 at Metalwerx, 50 Guinan Street, Waltham, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. If there is a special stone you’d like to him to bring, email him at trinityimports@gmail.com in advance.

Come beat the heat with some cool stones. We hope to see you there!
